The Elk Grove Development Services/Public Works Department is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of many distinct divisions. These responsibilities include designing, constructing, operating and maintaining roads, managing capital projects, and providing general engineering and building regulation services.

The Department’s key objective is to meet the needs of the city residents and ensure that infrastructure and facilities comply with the standards and expectations set forth by the City Council.

The Department’s goal is to offer the highest level of service to city residents no matter what challenges are presented.

Tree Removal on
Valley Oak at Bond Rd. & Elk Grove Florin Rd

An old oak tree on the north side of Bond Road, just east of Elk Grove-Florin Road has been removed due to its state of decline. Unfortunately, the tree was dying. The decision to remove the tree was made in the interest of safety for the adjacent property owners as well as pedestrians and motorists that frequent this stretch of Bond Road.
