Flood Control and Storm Drain Master Plan Workshop Information
The City of Elk Grove is hosting quarterly public workshops regarding the City’s Flood Control and Storm Drainage Master Plan. Topics will include proposed flood control measures and potential water quality impacts associated with existing conditions and planned growth within the City. The workshops will also serve as a forum to discuss potential drainage impacts to downstream areas, such as the Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge.

Questionnaire:
The City would like to hear from the public about drainage, flooding or water quality issues that residents have experienced in the past. This information will be used for comparison of the hydrologic and hydraulic computer models prepared for the SDMP and help identify new drainage concerns not currently classified by the Public Works Department. The information solicited will also help determine probable cause of flooding factors and help determine preferred stormwater solutions. Pictures of flooding or drainage incidents are welcome! Please bring them with you to the workshop or send the pictures to Fernando Duenas at the email below. Along with the pictures, please include a brief description of the incident, year and month it occurred and location information.
To help streamline the information gathering process, the City has created a stormwater questionnaire. Please take a moment to fill out the questionnaire at the link below:
